Western Historic Trails Center - Council Bluffs, IA. Interesting and informative exhibits trace the routes of western exploration and migration from the time of Lewis and Clark to the early 1900s. The exterior granite sculpture shows the rise in elevation on Lewis and Clark's route west from the Missouri River to the Rocky Mountain peaks, and on to the Pacific Ocean.
